Wiggo Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Pleyra handles information in the Wiggo iOS app and on the pleyra.com website. Wiggo was built to work without an account and without a server, so the short version is unusually short.
The short version. Wiggo has no accounts, no sign-in, and no Pleyra servers. We do not collect, receive, see, store, sell, or share your data. Everything you enter stays on your device unless you deliberately export or share it yourself. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no AI service in the app.
- Who we are
Wiggo is developed and published by Pleyra, referred to here as "Pleyra", "we", or "us".
For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described in section 12, contact us at support@pleyra.com. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
- What this policy covers
The Wiggo iOS application, including Wiggo Pro purchases. The pleyra.com website, including this page. It does not cover Apple's services (the App Store, Siri, iCloud, Find My), your camera manufacturer, or any destination you choose to share an exported file with. Those are governed by their own privacy policies.
- Data we collect: none
Wiggo does not have a backend. There is no Pleyra account server, no cloud sync, no user database, and no telemetry endpoint. The app never transmits your pet records, your identity, or your usage to us or to anyone else.
Accordingly, Wiggo's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected", and the app's privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types. We cannot access your records, we cannot restore them for you, and we cannot hand them to a third party, because we never have them.
- What Wiggo stores on your device
Everything below is information you choose to enter, and all of it is written only to your device. None of it is transmitted to us.
Category What it can include Friend profile Name, species, breed, sex, birth or adoption date, neutered status, height, microchip number, allergies, chronic conditions, activity level, photo, and country used for care planning. For aquariums: tank volume, water type, cycle status, target temperature, last water test. Care and health records Care tasks and reminder dates, completion history, notes, vaccination and parasite treatment dates, vet visit dates, weight entries, and daily wellness check-ins (general state, appetite, energy, waste, notes). Nutrition Food brand, calories per 100 g, bag size, remaining stock, custom daily portion, and target weight. Documents Files you add to the document vault, such as vaccination records, prescriptions, laboratory reports, invoices, and insurance papers, plus your notes on them. Cameras Camera name, room, connection type, local stream or snapshot address, username, and setup notes. If your camera needs a password, it is stored in the iOS Keychain, marked device-only so it is never synced to iCloud, and it is excluded from every export. Trackers Tracker type, device name, a safe-zone description, and a last-seen place and time. These are plain text notes you type. Wiggo does not read your device location and cannot read an AirTag's live position, which stays inside Apple's Find My. Contact details Owner name and phone, veterinarian name and phone, if you choose to fill them in. These are used to prefill caregiver notes, vet reports, and lost pet posters. Preferences Reminder times, notification and coach settings, weight unit, the local "continue as guest" flag, and a yes/no flag recording whether Wiggo Pro is unlocked. Technically, records live in a local SwiftData database inside the app's private container, camera passwords live in the iOS Keychain, and small preferences live in the app's local settings store. All of it is protected by iOS app sandboxing and by your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
- Device permissions and features
Photos Wiggo uses Apple's system photo picker. You pick one image; the app receives only that image. Wiggo never requests access to your photo library and cannot browse it.
Files Document vault items are added through the system file picker. Wiggo receives only the files you select.
Notifications If you grant permission, Wiggo schedules local notifications through iOS. They are created and delivered on your device. There is no push server, so no reminder content is ever sent over the internet.
Local network (cameras) If you add a home camera, Wiggo connects directly from your iPhone to that camera over your own local network. This is why iOS asks for local network permission. Wiggo enforces that camera addresses must be local: private IP addresses, localhost, .local names, or local device names. Public internet addresses are rejected. The image is never relayed through a Pleyra server, never uploaded anywhere, and never recorded by us. We do not operate any camera infrastructure.
Siri and Shortcuts You can log a feeding or a "good today" check-in with Siri or the Shortcuts app. Wiggo writes the entry to the local database on your device. Siri itself is an Apple service and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
What Wiggo never asks for Wiggo does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, calendar, health data, or the advertising identifier. There is no such permission request in the app, because there is no feature that needs one.
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no AI
No third-party SDKs. Wiggo ships with no analytics, crash reporting, attribution, or advertising library of any kind. No tracking. We do not build profiles, we do not use the IDFA, and we do not link your activity to data from other companies or apps. Wiggo does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it has nothing to ask for. No advertising. There are no ads in Wiggo, and no ad network receives anything from it. No AI service. Wiggo makes no calls to any AI or machine learning service. Care schedules are produced by a rule-based engine that runs entirely on your device, so nothing you type is ever sent to a model.
- Purchases (Wiggo Pro)
Wiggo Pro is sold through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment, not us. We never see and never receive your card number, billing address, Apple Account email, or any other payment detail.
Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymized sales and subscription reports (for example, how many yearly subscriptions were purchased in a given country). These reports do not identify individual buyers.
Inside the app, Wiggo asks StoreKit whether a valid Pro entitlement exists and stores only a yes/no flag on the device. Your purchase and any refund request are governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Privacy Policy.
- Exports, backups, and anything you share
Wiggo can produce files at your request. Nothing is exported automatically, and every export requires you to pick a destination in the iOS share sheet.
File What it contains JSON backup The full local dataset: profiles and photos, care, weight and wellness records, document vault files, camera setup (excluding passwords), tracker notes, owner and vet contact details, and app preferences. PDF vet report / CSV A summary of a friend's health and care history for your veterinarian. Caregiver note (TXT) Feeding, care, and contact instructions for a pet sitter. Lost pet card and poster Identifying details and the phone number you entered. This is designed to be shared publicly, so treat it accordingly. Excluded from every export: camera passwords, any credentials embedded in a URL, and your Wiggo Pro entitlement.
A JSON backup can contain sensitive information about you, your household, and your animal's health. Once you share a file, it leaves Wiggo and is governed by wherever you sent it (mail, messaging, cloud storage, or another app). Store it somewhere you trust.
Importing a backup only reads the file you select, and only writes to your device.
- Retention and deletion
Your records stay on your device until you delete them. We have no copy and no retention period, because we never receive anything. You can delete any individual record, or archive a friend, inside the app. Deleting a camera in Wiggo also deletes its password from the Keychain. Deleting the Wiggo app removes its local database and files from the device. Files you exported earlier remain wherever you saved them. Only you can remove those. Because there is no cloud copy, deletion is permanent and we cannot recover anything for you. Export a backup before you erase or replace a device.
- The pleyra.com website
This is a static informational website. It does not ask you to create an account and does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Like almost all websites, our hosting provider, [hosting provider name], automatically records standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser user agent) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are retained for [retention period, e.g. 30 days] and are not used to profile visitors. [If you later add analytics, a contact form, or a newsletter to the site, this section must be updated.]
- Children
Wiggo is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and since the app collects nothing at all, no child's data reaches us. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use of the device.
- Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Türkiye's KVKK, the CCPA/CPRA, or similar laws: access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
The unusual part here is that you exercise most of these rights directly on your device, without asking us, because we are not holding your data:
Access: open the app; all of it is visible there. Portability: export a JSON backup, a CSV, or a PDF report at any time. This is free and is not a Pro-only feature. Correction: edit any record in the app. Erasure: delete the record, or delete the app. Where we do act as a data controller, namely for support emails you send us and for website server logs, you may contact support@pleyra.com to request access or deletion. Our legal basis for handling support correspondence is our legitimate interest in answering you, and for server logs, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We never have.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Türkiye and you believe we have mishandled your data, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Türkiye this is the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu).
- International transfers
Your app data never leaves your device, so there is no international transfer of it. Support emails you send us are processed by our email provider, [email provider], and website logs by our hosting provider named above.
- Security
Wiggo relies on the security of iOS itself: the app sandbox, file protection tied to your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and the Keychain for camera passwords. Keep your device updated and locked with a passcode.
Keeping your data off the internet removes an entire class of risk: there is no Pleyra database to breach. In exchange, you are responsible for your own backups. If you lose your device and have no exported backup, the records are gone.
- Changes to this policy
If we ever add a feature that changes any of this, for example iCloud sync, we will update this page, change the "last updated" date, update Wiggo's App Store privacy label, and, where the change is significant, notify you in the app before it takes effect. We will not start collecting your data quietly.
- Health notice
Wiggo is a tracking and general-information tool. It is not veterinary diagnosis, advice, or treatment, and it does not replace an examination by a veterinarian. If your animal is unwell, deteriorating, or showing unusual signs, contact a veterinarian immediately.
